Titen HD® Heavy-Duty Screw Anchor

The Titen HD is a high-strength screw anchor suitable for use in cracked/ uncracked concrete, and also uncracked masonry. It offers excellent performance with low installation torque. This anchor is designed for dry, interior, non-corrosive environments or temporary outdoor applications.

For corrosive or extreme environments, such as those with salt water or chemical solutions, the stainless-steel Titen HD is the recommended choice. Refer to the Stainless-Steel Titen HD for more details.

Installation

1. Drill a hole in the base material using a carbide drill bit with the same diameter as the anchor's nominal diameter. The hole should be drilled to the specified embedment depth plus minimum hole depth overdrill. Blow the hole clean using compressed air. (Overhead installations may skip this step.)
   
2. Insert the anchor through the fixture and into the hole.
   
3. Tighten the anchor into the base material until the hex-washer head contacts the fixture.
   

Please refer to the provided table for specific wrench sizes, recommended fixture hole sizes, and minimum hole depth overdrill based on the Titen HD diameter.

Important cautions

• Match the specified diameter when drilling holes in metal fixtures.
• Use the Titen HD screw anchor only once, as multiple installations may cause excessive thread wear and reduce load capacity.
• Do not use impact wrenches to install into hollow CMU.
• Oversized holes in the base material will diminish or eliminate the mechanical interlock of the threads, reducing the anchor's load capacity.
